Report: Dolphins still offering Beck

Miami can't expect more than a sixth-round pick after sitting Beck all year and his awful rookie-season performance. The Dolphins might just end up cutting him closer to training camp if they draft another developmental QB.

Dolphins not expected to upgrade at QB
Miami shopped Beck last offseason, but asked for a fourth-round pick and got no takers. Beck will likely remain the Dolphins' third QB in 2009 with Chad Pennington safely ahead of Chad Henne, at least to open the season.

Chad Pennington is active and will start despite being a late addition to the injury report with a minor foot problem. Oakland defends the pass well, but he should be a solid QB2 play.

Still. Miami has next to no use for Beck behind Chad Pennington and Chad Henne. Beck was once known to be on the Cowboys' radar. They could probably have Beck for a fourth to fifth-round pick if they still want him.
